Pastor Courtney wilks' biography

Pastor Courtney Wilks was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica to Cecil and Myrtle Wilks. He is the last of eight children and was raised in a predominantly Seventh-day Adventist family. His mother had a tremendous influence on his childhood life in fostering the growth and development of a life of prayer which has always helped to steer his life and his ministry.

Pastor Wilks received his preparation for Ministry at the Northern Caribbean University (formerly West Indies College) in Jamaica, WI; where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Religion and Theology with an emphasis in Pastoral Administration. Pastor Wilks also studied at Bermuda College on the picturesque island of Bermuda where he obtained an Associate degree in Computer Information systems.

After completing studies at NCU, Pastor worked in other areas, as a Dorm Manager at Heart College of Construction Services, St. Catherine Jamaica, and later as Chaplain at Wildwood Lifestyle Center, Wildwood, Georgia.

Pastor Wilks is one of the founding members of a Christian ministry called Be Blessed Ministries International (BBMI). This group has been in existence for over twelve years and has close to 70 members.

Pastor Wilks also currently serves as the assistant secretary of the Northern Caribbean University New York chapter and now serving his second term.

Pastor Wilks also has a daily devotional ministry that has been in operation for close to thirteen years and now has a distribution list of close to 1000 individuals who then rebroadcasts to several thousands more.

Pastor Wilks formerly served the Linden Seventh-day Adventist church in the capacity of lead Bible Instructor and also taught Bible at the Linden B-smart School.

During his ministry, he has preached at several churches in Jamaica, the United States, and Bermuda.

Pastor Courtney Wilks is the proud husband of Dr. Seanna-Kaye Denham-Wilks and a devoted father to their son Caleb Malachi Wilks.

Dr. Seanna-Kaye Denham-Wilks is the eldest daughter of Lloyd Denham and Janet Denham and also a daughter of Linden. A gifted preacher, vocalist and worship leader, Dr. Denham-Wilks is also a clinical psychologist and the Chief Experience Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County.

Caleb Wilks is a curious, intelligent and witty child who loves the aquarium, zoo, and the children’s museum. He is a Pre-K student at the prestigious Linden Early Childhood Academy.

Pastor Wilks and his wife hope by the grace of God to serve the Lord and His people both in the church and the community through Divine efforts, in heralding the urgency of the gospel of Christ with the intent to persuade men and women that their only hope for the future lies in a full surrender to Jesus Christ.

At the core of his life's philosophy is Psalm 37:4: “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
