Linden Cares

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”     1 Peter 4:10(NIV)

WHAT IS "LINDEN CARES"?.

Linden Cares is a systematic response to our call to be stewards of God’s grace. We are called to be kind not to receive God’s blessings, but because He has already blessed us. And Linden Cares facilitates acts of kindness between our church and our community. To this end, and although seasonal, there are small-scale initiatives that have been targeted to maximize our impact.

Gifts for Senior Living Residents

We will donate approximately 300 pairs of bedroom slippers to the residents of a nearby senior living center (male and female).

Gas Vouchers

With inflation, we have realized rising gas prices in our city. Through partnership with a community fuel station, we will offer nominal discounts on fuel purchases for a limited period.

Honoring our Health Care Heroes

We have also partnered with a hospital system in the metro area to award lunch vouchers and small gifts of appreciation to our outstanding health care heroes on a weekly basis.

Linden School Scholarships

We value Adventist Education. But we also recognize the monetary sacrifice that has been made by our student-families. Therefore, during the 2021-2022 school year, we will offer small scholarships (tuition discounts) to qualifying families.

HOW CAN YOU HELP ?

There are two ways you can help. Firstly, the initiatives above will require a collective investment of at least $5,000.00. However, this is achievable by your commitment to consistently give a liberal offering. Secondly, you can help by committing some of your time. Each initiative will require some degree of presence. And you can be just the person we need to share trinkets of kindness. If you are interested, click the link below to complete our Linden Cares Volunteer Form. Additionally, we also encourage solo acts of kindness that can be done at your convenience. But for them to be enjoined with Linden Cares, please complete the Linden Cares Self-Reporting Form.

HOW WILL WE MEASURE OUR IMPACT?

Linden Cares aims to achieve 5000 touches (impact 5,000 lives with an act of kindness) by December 31, 2021. And this will account for what we will do collectively as well as individually.
