28 FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH

Our Beliefs

Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures.

The fundamental beliefs listed below constitute our church's understanding and expression of the teaching of Scripture.

Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit-make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will.

When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.

When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor.

He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.

Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life and that everything - the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us - is a part of His plan.

Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.

For God So Loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Our church believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who revealed His love for us on Calvary’s Cross by dying for our sins.

Through His sacrifice, we can all accept the gift of eternal life. As our Creator Redeemer and Friend, He has taken responsibility for our sins through His amazing grace.

As our Soon Coming King, He promises perpetual assurance of lasting peace if we would only worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

We honor God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit through our worship, our praise, and our lives.

It is our joy to honor our Lord on His Sabbath, an eternal covenant of beautiful restoration and hope.

If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 3:29

Our church family is warm, open, diverse, and ever-growing!  From tots to teens, newborns and nanas, the men and women and boys and girls of the Linden Church family worship, play, work, and serve the Laurelton community that we so dearly love.

You see it in our faces, in our ministries, and in our community outreach. We are a part of the family of GOD. You’re our family too, the table is spread, and we welcome you to the feast of the Lord.

Come taste and see that the Lord is good!

We welcome you to become a part of the Lovely Linden Church, where faith, family, and fellowship are who we are.

Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

- Psalm 133:1

What makes Linden truly lovely is the fellowship we share with each other, determining day after day and week after week that the love of Jesus is best shown in our love for our neighbors.

Our fellowship is based on the Christian Brotherhood, in the example of our Savior.

OUR BELIEFS, GROWING IN CHRIST

He who subjugated the demonic spirits during His earthly
ministry has broken their power and made certain their ultimate doom.
